175 Years Ago Today

02 Mar

Happy Birthday Texas!

I am going to celebrate (again) by reading the Texas Declaration of Independence for the first time ever.

I am fascinated and moved to think about how our ancestor’s participation in the historic events in Washington, Texas, 175 years ago has impacted all of our lives and led us to reconnect all these years later, thanks too to the efforts of family genealogists and the Star Museum’s Signers Project.

I think it’s a great day to start a Stapp family blog! What do you think?

Susan — count me in on this grand idea. It solves the problem I was having about trying to create a Stapp Website with links to us descendants.

    What’s the next step?

Hi Edward… Glad to see you here! And in Washington!… I think we should post in manageable bite-sized chunks and not post a ton of stuff at the outset and then have nothing to post later. I’m open to ideas.

I’ll send you an invite to author posts. Please feel free…

OK Susan — I have tried posting this. Are you able to read it?
